Post-Lockdown Practicalities

We are looking forward to welcoming guests as soon as possible after the lockdown has been lifted.

Fortunately we are a very small B&B. Our maximum number of guests is 11 (though we may well start the transitional period with a smaller number of rooms and guests). We are introducing measures to ensure that there is no contact between guests in any transitional period when all of us still need to socially distance even when we are allowed to travel, have holidays and welcome guests.

We will ensure our cleaning routines and laundry remain at the very highest standards, following government and WHO guidelines on the best ways to eradicate germs. Our laundry company, for example, follows NHS standards on processing bedlinen and towels.

We have the fabulous hand-sanitiser from the award-winning Pure Lakes available for guests to buy on arrival.

For our B&B guests a few changes may be necessary. In order to minimise any social contact with other guests we are offering accommodation with no breakfast or with a take-away breakfast of something like a bacon buttie and BYO flask for coffee or tea (and guests opting for these options will receive a discount on their final bill). We shall also offer breakfast in the garden (as we always do on those warm Cumbrian mornings), and timed sittings in the dining room and lounge when necessary.

For our self-catering guests there are no changes needed, as you have The Mount on as exclusive basis and so you will not be in contact with any other guests or us.

Please email or phone us with any questions you may have about social distancing procedures at The Mount.
